Your search for a national level entrance exam for MCA rightly ends here. The NIMCET ie NIT Common Entrance Test for MCA is a national level assessment directed by National Institutes of Technology for admission to Master of Computer Application (MCA) course.This exam's score is accepted by NIT's which are collectively known as NIMCET participating institutes. Admission to these programmes is done through single window centralized counselling and seat allotment. A candidate with 60 percent marks or 6.5 CGPA in qualifying exam of bachelor degree exam from a recognized university is eligible to apply for NIMCET MCA 2017.

NIMCET 2017 Eligibility:

The processing Fee for NIMCET-2016 test and counselling for admission to the MCA programme is Rs.2000 /- for OPEN/OBC category and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST category candidates.

Candidates have to pay through State Bank I-Collect for an appropriate amount relevant to their category.
Upload Passport size photograph scanned copy (maximum size :30 KB), signature (maximum size:10 KB)

Fill the online application form, pay the application fee through SBI-I collect and take print of the generated application form. Completed application along with all relevant documents with payment receipt should reach, The Secretary, NIMCET-2016, M G Avenue, Durgapur –713209, on or before 18-04-2016.

Set Theory: Concept of sets–Union, Intersection, Cardinality, Elementary counting; permutations and combinations.

Probability and Statistics: Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions, measures of central tendencies and dispersions.

Algebra:- Fundamental operations in algebra, expansions, factorization, simultaneous linear / quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, determinants and matrices.

Coordinate Geometry: Rectangular Cartesian coordinates, distance formulae, equation of a line, and intersection of lines, pair of straight lines, equations of a circle, parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola.

Calculus: Limit of functions, continuous function, differentiation of function, tangents and normals, simple examples of maxima and minima. Integration of functions by parts, by substitution and by partial fraction, definite integrals, applications of definite integrals to areas.

Vectors: Position vector, addition and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products and their applications to simple geometrical problems and mechanics.

Trigonometry: Simple identities, trigonometric equations properties of triangles, solution of triangles, heights and di stances, general solutions of trigonometric equations.
