KLEE 2016 Exam Details, Application Form, Eligibility Criteria

Kerala Law Entrance Examination 2016 is the easiest way to grab your dream college for various graduate and post-graduate courses within Kerala. This entrance examination gets conducted by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Thiruvananthapuram on yearly basis. There are various law courses such as 5 year L.L.B course, 3 year L.L.B course and 2 year L.L.M and admission to these courses based on the rank obtained by the candidate in KLEE – Kerala Law Entrance Examination.

Each year KLEE comes with few eligibility criteria which should be followed by interested candidates in order to apply for it. Generally Kerala Law Entrance Examination (KLEE) gets conducted in the Month of August and the application starts from May month. Below we are going to share all the mandatory details about it. Eligibility Criteria for KLEE 2016

For 5 Years LLB Course


  • Candidate must have passed 12th from a recognized education board within Kerala.
  • Candidates who are appearing 12th this year can also apply for this entrance examination. Later they need to show passing certificate in order to get admission.
  • Candidate will not get admission if they score less than 40% of marks in the appearing examination whereas the ST SC candidates can get admission with minimum 35% marks as well.
  • For 3 years LLB Course 
  • Candidate must have done graduation in any stream from a recognized university within Kerala
  • Graduate with a minimum of 40% marks in total (that is 40% marks for graduation plus the examination) will only eligible for admission to the 3 year LL.B. course.
  • Candidates who are appearing in 12th examination this year, they are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination but later they need to show their passing certificate to the authority, then only, they will be allowed to take admission. 
  • For 2 Years LLM Course
  • Candidates must have passed L.L.B. examination (5 year / 3 year course) from any university within Kerala. Candidates appearing in the same can also apply for it.
